WHAT IS LIFE4 PLACEMENT?
LIFE4 Placement is an option to quickly join the LIFE4 Ranking System with a “Placement Rank”. Placement is NOT required, but can be a great way to learn where you should begin in our system. If you have already completed all of the requirements for a rank, there is no reason to complete Placement.
There are two ways to complete Placement, and they are dependent on which rank you are hoping to be placed into. A Placement Set is for players who are aiming for a Copper, Bronze, Silver, or Gold rank. Comprehensive Placement is for players aiming for Platinum or above. You can see more details about these in their sections below.
PLACEMENT SET
The Placement Set is only for users aiming for Placement into Copper, Bronze, Silver, or Gold. The Placement Set must be done in a single set. Song order does not matter, and you can use extra stage to replay a song of your choice.
Money/Machine score will be used for the Placement Set. When choosing a Placement Set, select which set you think will most accurately showcase your skill. Don’t worry about choosing the wrong set, if your scores are higher or lower than the threshold we’re looking for you will be slotted into the appropriate rank.
Placement is not a make or break point. It is best to only play the placement set a few times to give us an accurate example of your current skill level. If you place lower than your overall skill level, you should easily rank up to where you properly belong.
You are welcome to try the placement sets for multiple ranks, but you will likely be slotted into the same rank either way. Clearing songs is NOT necessary. For example, don’t be discouraged from attempting Bronze if you can’t pass the placement songs. Just do your best and have fun!
There is NO deadline for placement! New participants can join this event at any time. Submissions will be usually be updated within 48 hours. The system is currently checked and maintained manually, so please be patient!
COMPREHENSIVE PLACEMENT
Comprehensive Placement is for users aiming for a Platinum rank or above. You will need to submit a complete list of scores for all songs ranked 14 or above. The only accepted methods for providing us with this information is a 3icecream account, Skill Attack account, or DDR Score Manager A mobile app account.
With Comprehensive Placement, you will not earn a tier specific Placement rank, and instead be granted a general specific rank, ie. Platinum (P) or Emerald (P). This functions to grant you the ability to participate in rank specific events and chat without fully granting you the prestige of earning the full ranks.
CAN I APPLY FOR A NEW PLACEMENT RANK EVEN THOUGH I AM ALREADY IN THE LIFE4 SYSTEM?
You are allowed to re-apply for Placement if your target rank is at least two ranks above your current one. For example, a Gold player cannot re-apply for a Platinum rank, but could apply for Diamond.
